Kris Angelis has been living musically her whole life. “My mom says I’ve been singing since before I could talk. I would sing melodies when I didn’t actually know words.” Growing up on a farm in Florida
It was with the help of a musician friend that Kris first began learning guitar. She continued learning on her own -- and dived right into songwriting with inspirations including Brandi Carlile, Ray Lamontagne, David Gray, Regina Spektor, Elton John, and more recently, Katie Herzig, Gregory Alan Isakov, Sara Bareilles, The Lumineers and so many others! “It’s how I create, how I express myself. But it’s also a huge part of how I get through life. Music is a universal language. It evokes emotion. It resonates in our souls, it actually vibrates in our bodies. There’s a Victor Hugo quote that expresses exactly how I feel about it: ‘Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.’ That’s how songwriting has been for me.” And she certainly hasn’t been silent.

Kris Angelis ist schon musikalisch auf die Welt gekommen - „Meine Mama erzählte mir, dass ich schon gesungen habe, bevor ich reden konnte. Ich hab die Melodien gesungen, ohne die Wörter überhaupt zu kennen.“ Aufgewachsen auf einer Farm in Florida, verbrachte Angelis ihre Kindheit nicht nur mit Spielen, Toben, sondern auch mit dem Schreiben von Songtexten. Sie und ihre Zwillingsschwester Alix sangen zusammen und brachten sich Harmonien bei, indem sie mit ihren Stimmen experimentierten. Mit drei Jahren komponierten sie ihr erstes Lied, welches heute, verflochten in ein neues Lied, immer noch existiert.
Von einem musikalischen Freund hat Kris Angelis die Grundlagen des Gitarre-Spielens gelernt. Sie gab nicht auf sich das Spielen selbst weiter beizubringen und tauchte dadurch in die Welt des Lieder-Schreibens, wobei sie von Brandi Carlile, Ray Lamontagne, Regina Spektor, Elton John, Katie Herzig, u.nd vielen mehr inspiriert wurde.

Sie schwingt in unseren Seelen und vibriert in unseren Körpern. Es gibt ein Zitat von Victor Hugo, das genau meine Gefühle zum Ausdruck bringt: ‚Die Musik drückt das aus, was nicht gesagt werden kann und worüber zu schweigen unmöglich ist.’ Das ist, was Liederschreiben für mich ist.“
Kris Angelis liefert Folk/Pop Musik mit einer Spur von südlichem Charme. Rhiannon Mair has music in her blood; her DNA a dancing double-helix of vibrant musicality and song-writing savvy. Currently unsigned, the April 2013 release of debut album, It Goes Like This – entirely fan-funded through Pledge Music - showcases the talent of a fresh, credible recording artist.
Born and raised in Colchester, she was surrounded by music and musicians from an early age. A childhood love of drums progressing to acoustic guitar in her teens, playing in bands and writing songs seemed ‘far more interesting than doing GCSEs'. Later moving to London to study Music Tech, Rhiannon continued to play and write songs, admiring the work of musicians such as Brian Molko (Placebo) and Matthew Bellamy (Muse).
A growing interest in folk and singer-songwriters led her to artists like KT Tunstall, Bjork and John Mayer. Her eclectic playing experience has produced an exciting and energetic live performer with an edgy style and great stage presence. A hybrid of Alanis Morrisette and KT Tunstall, but with her own distinctive voice and vocal delivery, Rhiannon Mair is impossible to ignore.
