Day 3: Busking and the Big Buttinsky

Relaxed for a bit then headed down to Osnabruck to try our hand at busking before our evening show. The touring agency strongly recommends busking in the afternoon to help promote the event shows and it seems to be a pretty accepted thing here, but Bobbo and I have never really busked much so it's a little intimidating showing up in a busy shopping plaza with your hat and guitar and playing for passers-by. We did manage to make one fan and enough money to cover parking and a bottle of Coke plus some good experience, so I think it was a win.

Around 6:00 (or 18:00 as they call it here) we headed to Big Buttinsky, a bar inside a movie theatre complex and meet up with our tour mate, Ben Riddle. He's a great singer-songwriter from Australia by way of Paris and this is his second Songs and Whispers tour. Check out the video I posted on our Facebook page of him singing a song he wrote for his twin sister, it's lovely.

Anyway, the show went great, in large part due to our sound man and host Dirk. After the show we crashed at his place while he rode his bike back to the club and worked a reggae party until 6 in the morning. Talk about dedication!
