„SONGS & WHISPERS“ - Circuit 06/2011

Ruth Royal (Bristol, UK)

Trying to start a carrier, Ruth Royal went to Bristol in 2007. Only after one year she published her first album.
“Music in Words” is not only a title it also describes her unique style of classic jazz mixed with her own personal songwriting and creates a timeless quality well beyond her years. Ruth's classy image is only surpassed by her hardworking attitude and a real enthusiasm to make a difference both musically and socially. Ruth's initiative has combined her passions with her beliefs and runs a community driven bike powered stage "Project Bicyclette", spreading awareness about the importance of sustainable energy. Ruth is a rare commodity and real breath of fresh air.

“ … Ruth Royall is making waves on the Bristol music scene with her wide ranging voice, bubbly personality and intelligent song-writing“ (Bath International music festival)

Cajita (Bristol, UK)
Cajita’s music is characterized by his use of different instruments, computers as well as loop-pedals, which makes his music rather sound like a whole group instead of a solo artist.
The live Cajita show varies between full electronica shows, featuring a mixture of live looping, beats, trumpets, vocal harmonies, guitar, synths & keyboards and acoustic shows, featuring live-looped vocals, percussion and guitars. He has toured extensively in the UK, Europe and the US, supporting bands like Maps and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, as well as playing on the same bills as Bjork, Ulrich Schnauss and Plaid.

"A gorgeous gong bath of dainty, grated beats, shuddering electronica, and a chorus of pillow soft male voices. . .every element the right shape and size, hanging together as perfectly as the molecules of a water droplet. . ." (Venue Magazine)

Ruth Royal (Bristol, UK)
