The singer /songwriter genre doesn’t always have to be serious and heavy with meaning. The Viennese one-man-band "FUTURE:ART" puts out one catchy tune after the other - songs that set you in a feel-good-mood and invite you onto the dancefloor.
Humour and a grand share of melody are the main ingredients Philipp Timmelmayer, the brain behind FUTURE:ART, uses to create his songs. His physical dedication is an eminent part of this project, as you can witness in the video of the single "Fox Pain" released 2013.
FUTURE:ART's first EP "Modern Torture", was released in 2011. Only a year later a second EP called "Back To The FutureART" came out. (As the title, and songs like "Emmet Brown", might give away: YES this man is an avid moviebuff!)
The latest Single "Mr. Ragbag" mixes spot-on hooklines with rock tunes, in a video being characteristic for FUTURE:ART: combining self-mockery with simply a great song...

Dass das Cliche des ruhigen introvertierten Singer-Songwriters längst nicht auf alle zutrifft, beweist die Wiener One-Man-Band FUTURE:ART. Fetzige Indie-Ohrwürmer, gute Laune und ein Kribbeln im ganzen Körper, das zum Tanzen anregt, sind inzwischen die Markenzeichen seiner Musik geworden.
Sauber komponierte und prägnante Melodien gepaart mit gutem Humor, das ist die Kombination aus denen Philipp Timmelmayer, der Kopf hinter FUTURE:ART, seine Songs bastelt. Dabei spielt echter Körpereinsatz, wie man bereits im Video zum 2013 veröffentlichten Song „Fox Pain“ deutlich erkennen kann, eine essenzielle Rolle und steckt definitiv an.
Die erste Veröffentlichung, die EP „Modern Torture“, brachte FUTURE:ART 2011 unter die Leute und fütterte seine hungrigen Fans schon ein Jahr später mit der zweiten EP „Back To The FutureART“, worin Timmelmayer mit dem Song „Emmet Brown“ seiner Liebe zum Film besonderen Ausdruck verleiht.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, American-Dutch songwriter Isaac Tabor sings of lost love on all continents, the disappearing wetlands of Louisiana, the dust of the Pampa trail in Argentina and Methamphetamine invasion of Arkansas, to name a few. A storyteller at heart, he likes to bring the audience into the story and share the feelings we have all have in common, one verse at a time. Diving into the music scene in Liverpool almost ten years ago, Isaac played electric and acoustic guitar with a number of bands before settling down with the folk five-piece Jukebox Gypsy, which started an adventure that is still going strong today. Since 2008, the band has released three albums of original music. These albums showcase the song writing of several band members as well as Isaac’s lead guitar work. The last few years has taken them from Ireland to the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and England, playing at festivals, folk clubs and acoustic concert series.
In recent years Mr. Tabor has established himself as a prominent acoustic lead guitar player and songwriter on the scene. With an international background and constantly on the move since childhood, Isaac writes about what he sees. His songs are small stories of people’s plight to overcome suffering that speak to the heart. Influenced by the folk rock artists of the sixties, such as Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, his songs are rooted in the American folk tradition. He has recently released his first solo EP entitled MOOD FOOD CAFE, which features a string band line-up (fiddle, double-bass, guitar, banjo and mandolin) and lots of swinging and swaying country blues. SONGS OF LOVE AND REGRET, a stripped-down folk record with close harmony singing and finger picking guitar is due for release in early 2014.

Der niederländische Songschreiber Isaac Tabor singt von verlorener Liebe aller Kontinente, das Verschwinden der Feuchtgebiete in Louisiana, dem Staub der Pampa in Argentinien und der Methamphetamin Invasion von Arkansas. Als ein Geschichtenerzähler mit Herz, liebt er es das Publikum in die Geschichten seiner Verse einzubringen und die Gefühle zu teilen, die wir alle gemeinsam haben. Mit seinem Eintauchen in die Musikszene vor knapp 10 Jahren in Liverpool, begann Isaac mit der elektrischen und akustischen Gitarre in mehreren Bands, bevor er sich mit der Folk-Gruppe Jukebox Gypsy zusammentat, welche noch heute sehr gefragt ist. Seit 2008 hat die Band drei Alben veröffentlicht. Diese Alben präsentieren die Songs mehrerer Bandmitglieder, sowie Isaac’s Arbeit mit der Gitarre. Sie spielten bereits in den Niederlanden, Deutschland, der Schweiz und England auf Festivals, traten in Folk-Clubs auf und spielten eine akustische Konzertreihe.
In den letzten Jahren hat Isaac Tabor sich als prominenter akustischen Leadgitarrist und Songwriter in der Szene etabliert. Mit einem internationalen Hintergrund und ständig in Bewegung seit seiner Kindheit, schreibt Isaac über das, was er sieht. Seine Songs sind kleine Geschichten von der Not und dem Leiden der Menschen, die zum Herzen sprechen. Von den Folk-Rock-Künstlern der sechziger Jahre, wie Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan und Grateful Dead beeinflusst, sind seine Songs in der amerikanischen Folk-Tradition verwurzelt. Vor kurzem veröffentlichte er seine erste Solo-EP mit dem Titel „Mood Food Cafe“, die einen String Band Line-up (Geige, Kontrabass, Gitarre, Banjo und Mandoline) sowie viele swingende und schwankende Country-Blues bietet. „Songs of Love and Regret“ ist eine abgespeckte Version des Folks, mit enger Harmonie zu Gesang und Fingerpicking-Gitarre, die Anfang 2014 veröffentlicht wird.
