Day 6: TV and Truck Stops

Had a busy few days, so time to catch up! On Tuesday we drove down to Delmenhorst to record a song and interview for Radio Weser TV, which is a local TV station. Bobbo and I are still working on successfully getting through an interview without saying something completely ridiculous. Hasn't happened yet but we keep trying! The best part was when they put a little camera on our car dash and asked us to drive around the block, as if we are just arriving to the station. We pulled away and cranked the radio, dancing and singing and bouncing around like fools. Yep, we're super serious rock stars!

From there we headed back to the harbor area in Bremen to play at the Hafen Casino Truck Stop. We've been incredibly lucky with the weather so far, every day has been about 75 degrees and sunny. Luckily this was no exception, because the venue is a pretty tiny little restaurant but has a nice big patio surrounded by a few dozen picnic tables. By the time Ben started his set we already had over 100 people in the audience, and the crowd only grew from there. We took the stage around 9ish, just as the sun was setting and we rocked the socks off that place. Ben jumped up to sing backup and play some shaker with us too - his backing vocals on Dam are just gorgeous. I hope we get a good recording of it sometime during the tour! After a six song double encore, we finally called it night. Great crowd, great music - really can't ask for more!
